i have a 94 pickup 22re and im haveing trouble timing it. when it is timed right it has no power at all but if i advance it all the way the distributer lets me it seems to run fine. any idea? i dont has the tps set , i tryed to but i cant read an ohm meter so could that be a problem?

 

are you jumpering the TE1 and E1 terminals in the diagnostic plug before setting the timing?
