Throttle Body On Vehicle Inspection "question(s)"
So.. today after a small wiring problem on the igniter, we started the Throttle Body on-vehicle inspection. Did not get far.
Page 1 says to check the 3 vacuum lines on the top of the throttle body. Ports E,R,P
At Idle ports E,R,P should have No Vacuum
At 3500+ RPM ports E,R,P should have Vacuum
Our port R does not have Vacuum at 3500 RPM or higher.
Both ports E & R lead to the EGR modulator.
I checked with low pressure air from where the line plugs into the modulator to the throttle body, and its clean.
Is there any reason that would not be drawing a vacuum at higher RPMs?
Also.... on the next step it says insert a SST between the throttle stop lever and stop screw. Anyone know the diameter of this SST?
