There was an ACCIDENT!!

So I'm driving home in my 93 Toyota Pickup 22R RWD and I decide to Downshift rev match into first Gear as I'm coming to a stop in the turning lane. Next thing I know my throttle stayed to the floor when I lifted my foot and let the clutch out. (I don't have a Rev limiter..) So my immediate reaction was to just throw it in 3rd and finish turning so I could turn it off.

Well, Hahaha. That didn't go to plan. When I dropped It in 3rd, the rear end started getting loose, being that it was only at about 17or 1800 RPM I didn't expect it to kick out but it did. I Immediately started working that wheel, Manji after Manji I tried to get her back under control. It felt like forever but after about 400 yards and 1500 RPM's later, she started to want to straighten out. But then it all went wrong. The Front left tire blew up just as all the weight was transferred to it on what felt like was going to be the last left-hand manji. The rim dug into the street and threw me for a full spin into then over the curb at about 25 to 30 MPH. My Front and Rear Driver side rims were destroyed and the rear axle was pushed to the passenger side enough for the drive shaft to dent the gas tank. ( about an inch to 1 1/2").

I checked it out yesterday and the only damage I could find, after looking and measuring everything I could possibly think of, was the left leaf spring mount to the frame was bent when it smacked the curb.
Any Ideas on how to bend that back?
Its super thick steel I already tried hitting it with a 2Lb mallet and it didn't budge at all.

The other things I found was a cracked Drum shoe and broken axle seal.
Does anyone know of any Kits out there that include seals with a drum rebuild kit?

Other than that, amazingly, the truck made it out practically unscathed!!

Thanks in advance to everyone who replies!

Your first reaction should have been to kill the engine. If I was you I would find a new rear axle. With an impact like that there is a very good chance that the housing is now bent. I would all so find new rear springs. As for the spring hanger you will have to cut it off and weld on a new one.

I have had this. Lucky for me I was sort of awake when it happened and I only had it race for 3 seconds before I found the key.
Could have gone really bad too.

Crazy story man!

My cause was a frayed throttle cable that didn't retract back into it's sleeve.

HAHAHA good ˟˟˟˟ man. I kept going for the key but was trying to keep control of her at the same time.

And thanks for sharing that with me man ! I totally spaced on checking the cable itself! I've been pushing it to the side thinking it's the carb linkage or something Haha.
