Tell me what you think??

A guy came into autozone today to put an alternator in his suburban (the rear bearings fell out as he pulled in!!!) And to make a long story short, he has a 89-95 toyota pickup with a new longblock (3vze), that nobody ever came and picked up, I was thinking about buying this, he said a couple hundred bucks and I could have it!! What do you think, it wont have a title, and he doesnt even know if he can have it, its been sitting in his shop for about 2 years!! I dont know anything else about it cept it has a couple of rust spots on the bed!

If he doesn't own it... then he can't actually sell it.

Sounds to me like you'd be just as good "finding" one, taking it home and seeing if the owner ever notices. Although, that kind of sounds like stealing to me.

You'd also have to figure out how to license a vehicle in your state without having the title. My guess is the MVD would notify the actual owner when you try to register and they may want it back... causing you to loose out completely.

Well he is going to talk to someone at the courthouse about it, cause if its been on his property for 2 years then its basically his, or thats what the law is here in texas, you just have to file paperwork. Thats what i meant by that, so once he files the paperwork then its his and he can do whatever with it!
