Tell me what im missing, Heater issue

Hi, new toyota owner here, i have a 87 toyota 22r pickup 4x4. The heater setup seems to be all messed up, missing some hoses for sure. i tried searching and could not find much, all the pictures Ive seen seem different. i know i need to straighten out the one on the left just dont know where the hoses would go to when i get them. Thanks so much for your helpName: 2013-01-21_150154_zps016b6d48.jpg

If you could post up a picture of what you have and what you think you don't have it would help us tell what you need.

Your heater core IN is the short hose that is currently disconnected. The OUT is the bent metal pipe on the left. It LOOKS like you should disconnect the long hose on the left, reattach it to the metal pipe, then plug the short hose in where the long hose was.

Looks like you have the metal heater control valve. There is a plastic version on later models and then 4runners have a Y pipe that goes to the rear heater.

It may be connected that way because the heater core leaks.
You'll find out when you reconnect the hoses.
