Steering

:monkey: Hey whats up all, does anyone have a problem with their steering when going through puddles??? I went through a big ass puddle today , and it felt like the steering locked up till i hit dry road. ANY IDEAS???

What do you mean by locked up? Steering wheel wouldn't turn? Or would turn but no response?

Ditto. My guess is that you didn't go through it slowly, but at a pretty decent rate of speed?

I agree on the hydroplaning idea. Another possibility is if the wheel just got harder to turn for a bit, you might have gotten your power steering belt wet. If it's a bit loose, that could have caused it to slip, causing your PS pump to stop turning, which would mean you'd be stuck with manual steering until the belt dries enough and starts turning the pump again.

To get better help, try to be more specific with your symptoms.
