So I was cleaning up my engine bay today...

And I decided to modify my intake a little. I was just wondering if anyones done anything like this before, and if they had noticed any gains, I havent drove it yet but it does sound different. In the second pic, the 2 hoses accented with yellow, I just traced them to the source and blocked them off as they werent producing any vacuum.

i belive the larger of the 2 hoses connected to that trapozodal box runs to the reed valve, ie it needs to be able to pull atmosphere air.

second one goes to.... something in the intake manafold, might have to do with the EGR system im not quite shure.

most of that is elmited with a K&N kit so.....

All I did was remove 2 hoses, the 'spiler?; that goes behind the headlight and around the air inlet tube, and what I believe are air silencers?
