hey, i just got a 1992 4runner and the tailgate is a little bit rustier than i had though before. i know of a 1986 runner that has a tailgate thats not bad. does anyone know if it is at all possible to take the tailgate from an 86 and put it onto a 92? thanks!

No, the body styles are different.

I switched out my 91 with a 90 because I want/need the spare tire holder and my 91 didn't have the weight bracket on the inside. It all works but still working on the rear window issues. Plus there was an extra wire coming from the body? Still haven't figured that out yet.
