So I put in a tach and I love it. I feel like a ricer. I also put in some bucket seats. Also tell me what you think of my truck??

looks good. That is what i am currently hunting for. The tach is a little large... different strokes for different folks.....at least there is no reason to red line it without knowing it

Why not go with the factory Tach style cluster? That huge tach looks dorky and doesn't compliment the interior at all.

X2, especially seeing as how you'll probably never approach 6,000 rpm, let alone 10!

...and do you really need a shift light to tell you when to change gears?

I dont need any of it. Especially the shift light. I bought it used off craigslist for 60 bucks (normally 150) So i wasnt in the market for a bigass one but this one just so happened to be there.

It's only rice when you have 2 tachs (the factory one and a monster tach).
I've got one to go in my 82 since it doesn't have a factory tach. Finding an SR5 cluster for an 82 would be hard.

Not to mention I plan to build a metal dash one day anyhow.

Quiet down you I'm gonna be putting a second tach in and I have one factory... I here the stockers on 3.0s can be up to 500rpms off.

Be warned though. It becomes redneck when you have 3 tachs. The burnt out one on the dash, the burnt out one bolted to the side of the dash, and the not yet burnt out one zip-tied to the steering column

That was on my old K5. Though I found a good style, and stuck with it. The Swampthing currently has a nice little tach zip-tied to the steering column.

a REAL driver doesn't need a tach, the engine tells you when it's time to shift

I would have spent $2 on a good cup holder and pocketed the other $58.
