replacing windshield

Hoping someone can help me out here. I'm replacing the windshield on my 86 22re 4x4. I'm wondering if an 84 22r windshield is the same and if I can use it. Also, what else should I take off the 84 for spare stuff for my 86 (I've taken bulbs, lights, fuses, windshield fluid motor)? I'll take anything I can before scrappin' it.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure about interchangeability of windshields. But when I was looking to replace my windshield, I found the trim surrounding the windshield is way more expensive that I would have guessed. Well over $100 from the dealer for just a few pieces of rubber. I lived without it, but will probably squirt some black silicone in there one of these days to fill the void along the bottom of my windshield next to the outside trim.

A new tinted windshield for my '88 pickup was $125 installed - no pits and crystal clear compared to my original windshield last year when I had it done. Is the '84 (a 23+ year old windshield) clear enough of pits and other wear that it's worth putting in, instead of some cheap imported (new and clear) Chinese front glass? I was told by the installer the new glass is softer but much safer than the older 20+ year od glass from the '80s
