Just curious if anyone has done a swap from standard cab to extended cab and what was involved.
Do you just have to bob the bed and thats it?

My guess, you better have an extra cab frame, unless you want to totally hack the cab mounts on the frame.

I've always wanted to put a ex cab on a SWB frame... But I'd do myself a favor and flatbed the back...

Never once seen anyone bob the bed from the front end before...

It is deff possible. And has been done.

These are the same truck

It was originally bobbed 12" in the rear, then bobbed 2 feet at the front to accommodate the length of the cab. The rear of the cab was high clearance for 37's and the underside of the cab had to be notched due to the way the frame goes upward toward the rear.
There's a thread on TTORA, but almost all the pictures are gone.

That truck is awesome.
I would probably flat bed it.

x2 it's been done a couple documented times. the idea is pretty simple. pretty much gotta move some body mounts to accommodate the longer cab and then you've got the wiring and the bed to deal with. there will always be little things that come up along the way like in the build scuba referenced - tires were too big to clear the cab corner so he tubbed it.

i'd love to be able to do this someday with the single cab taco that my inlaws are gonna be upgrading from in the next couple years.
