well i finally got the 3.0 out of my 90 4runner. Things were going real good unitl i pulled the oil pan. I found the #6 conecting rod broken. The end cap had torn off and wedged its self between the block and crank. that would explain why the engine was siezed. i'm hoping the block isn't cracked so i can rebuild it.

 

3.4L swap

 

thats an option i'm looking at since the 4runner was a cheep buy.

 

where are you located.. i did the same thing, but i'm going the 3.4 route. if you need parts from my old motor let me knwo.
