not starting -seems like fuel issue

I have pretty much done everything to this truck, now im having issues when starting, especially when cold... this only happens about 50% of the time.. Sometimes it starts no problem... Basically I turn it over 3-4 seconds, it doesnt start, so i turn it over again, 3-4 times and it finally catches. My instinct is to hit the gas pedal cause it seems like it isnt getting fuel, but its a 22RE so i know better.

Ive recently rebuilt the engine, cold start injector replaced, new batt, fuel filter is new and clean.

Is there anything this could be OTHER than my fuel pump?

From: Cincinnati, Ohio - Amelia is the exact place. There is no one else on this site from where I am. Seems like everyone is from Cali or Washington. I guess I need to move.
Do you have good clean starter contacts? I kept thinking I had a fuel line problem, but my starter was arching, and would catch one time and not another. Make sure all of your grounds are tight also. I forgot to hook up the ground from the harness to the intake and liked to never got it started.

Solid truck too by the way looks good.

i had this problem on my 85 and then it just i thought is was the fuel pump and ran a relay to power it and it worked so i knew the pump was good i later found that one of the wires (think it was a ground)was loose cuz it started when shook located under the fuse box to the left behind the battery i tightened it and was good to go never had the problem again
