Hey all, I've been tuned out for a while now but recently been working on some parts for my 4Runner that I wanted to share with the community. I wanted a full length rack for my 4Runner and couldn't find any on the market. So I set off to create exactly what I wanted. Very similar to many of the common "overland" style racks commercially for nearly every other model except a) nobody makes one for 1st gen 4Runners and B I wanted this one to break down into sections so that the top can be removed and it could also be used in different configurations. great idea! One nice thing about the extrusion crossbars also is that you can add tie down points exactly where they are needed. I've also been loving these loop end style bungees from Perfect Bungee on the rack:
