Loping engine

So I've got a bit of a problem, I just put in a rebuilt engine, everything ran good so I drove it down the the post office. On the way I noticed it was a bit loud and boggy at certain times so I went home and adjusted the valve lash and the idle smoothed out and the truck sounded good. I went to go on another drive and the throttle began sticking so I stopped and started tinkering with the cable, I accidentally revd the throttle up real high and the truck began running like crap. I got my timing light back on it and the timing was jumping everywhere! It was sounding so good now the timing is all over the place and wants to die. Below is a picture of what I was messing with in an attempt to get my throttle cable to come back down because it was sticking. What do you all think could have happened?

You could have a sticking dirty flapper valve in the throttle body. Pull the air inlet tubs and clean all that area to. Maybe a sticking or bad TPS that keeps the flapper open.
