how do I raise my gas tank

I just bought an 86 runner. I hate that the gas tank hangs SO low. how do I raise it up and out of the way? I looked on the pirate faq and found nothing.

I figure a roger brown 2" body lift and I'd have more room but how do I mount it?

You will need at least a 2" body lift. After that, you just unbolt your tank and bolt it up 2" higher. There is an exact set of holes on the upper part of the frame where the front end of the tank will bolt into. For the rear, you need to cut the support bracket and weld it to be 2" shorter. It's pretty easy. I tried to do it, but was not able to because I have a 1" BL. You need at least a 2".
