header problems 22re

hi i just bought a 90 4x4 single cab they switched from efi to carburated with heddman headers and headers keep leaking off manifold changed gaskets 3 times twice with stock gasket and once with aftermarket still leaks rethreaded head still leaks pretty badly is there a diffrence between 22r and 22re headers maybe its the wrong header any help much appreciated

No difference. You could have a messed up flange on the header. I bought one for my Talon TSi AWD and it wouldn't seal either. Take it off and put a straight edge on the flange to see if it's warped.

well some 22r's have round exhaust ports and then switch over to pear shaped ones not sure on the year

have u tried these gaskets yet http://catalog.remflex.com/

My 82 came with a header but it was slightly warped and the PO told me it has been leaking for years. I pulled the header and bent it back out. Still quite a warp but not as bad. I ordered the Remflex gasket, put it all back together and there is not ONE leak on that entire system! I say Remflex it!
