having electrical problems
so i ran into a tree this last weekend and had to replace my tailgate on my 92 runner. so i bought a 90 tailgate with the swing away spare tire and i put it on and went to connect the elecrical cord from the tailgate to my truck and the adapter wasnt the same so i cut off the adapter from my truck and put on the one from the 90 runner and everything is connected but my back window wont go up it just beeps at me. every wire matched up fine and is connected with butt conectors and they are all held in strong. does anyone know what is keeping my back window from coming up? the down button works fine its the up that doesnt

It thinks your window is not shut, or the gate is not shut for some reason. Obviously since you wired in that connector, the issue is there.
Why did you put a swing style gate on it? There is no provision for the license plate!

i chose the swing away cause i got the swing away rack with the tailgate and i will eventually put that on. hmmmm i know this is a stupid question to ask but do you know which wire is the one that will tell it is closed? i dont have anyway to check the connections right now and i would like my window rolled up before night lol
