Front Differential Ring and Pinion

Hey I got a few questions. I've done an ass -load of research looking for the gear ratios of the front diff. for my truck. My ring gear is, DONE FOR! I don't do too much wheelin', just a little trail riding, rock crawlin' here and there. I just do what I can, so I'm not really looking for a locker for it or anything too pricey. If a locker is about as much as a new ring and pinion gear set then, hell I might as well get one right?

It's a 1993 Pickup, 22R-E, 5spd manual, 4WD, IFS. Running 31" tires, basically bone stock. No lift or anything like that.

The best info I've found for the gear ratios on the ring gear, is from 4x4wire.com/toyota/faq/parts/ and the info is as follows:
1986-1995
Gearing- 4.10, 4.30, 4.56, 4.88
Width- 58.5"
Ring Gear Size- 7.5"
Shaft Size- 1 1/8"
Spline Count- 27
Note- 4.10's are standard for manual trannys, and 4.30's for autos.

I've read other forums, looked at some new ring gears, and I find all sorts of different ring gear sizes, gearing, etc.
What I'm looking for is just the stock replacement but, I can't figure out how to determine what my gear ratio really is, and how I go about doing it. offroad.com explained it but, it went wayyy over my head!

Can somebody fill me in on what I should do?
Where I should go for getting a new ring and pinion?
Junk/Salvage yards? Skeptical about that because, I'm not sure what exactly they have, and I'd hate to rip apart a front diff at the yard and realize that it's not the one I need.
What is my gear ratio for my front diff. anyways?
I'm open to ALL info you guys have, or suggestions to possibly make the truck better than before for about the same price as stock. Really, no job is too big because I'm a student at WyoTech so I have access to plenty of tools and equipment.

Thanks for the input! Sorry if it's somewhat of a newb question, I couldn't really find anything on here that was about my truck. Found some things about the V-6's, but, that was about it.

There's a plate in the engine compartment that lists the drivetrain option installed.

For example, mine said "138 GN11 G292 W56"

G292 translates to 8", 4.100 Gear Ratio, 2 pinions

http://www.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/t...ion-18588.html

edit: yours would probably be in the drivers side door jam.
