Front differential help

hi all,.. i got a 94 4runner 4wd.. my problem is a leak on the passenger side where the half shaft connects to the front differential. i took off the cv axle and inspected the area of the differential and found a great amount of grease building up, also there is a lot of play compared to the driver side. is this an easy DIY fix? im assuming that the seal on that side needs to be replaced. being that there is a significant amount of play when i grab the center of the cv axle and give it a shake,.. im wondering if theres a bearing on the inside of the differential that has gone bad. do i have to remove the diff. to replace the seal? i'd appreciate any help. thanks

Diff must come out. I have the same issue, started a thread about it last week.
