engine swap

I have an 86 pickup (4X4) carbed. It blew a freeze plug (front one) which I replaced. After that the truck ran fine for 2 years. Now it is blowing air back into the radiator. I pulled the head and replaced the gasket which did nothing to fix the problem. I did not see a crack in the head, so I am guessing the problem is the block.
I found a used 1991 22R engine. This brings me to my question. Can I swap my 86 parts, brackets, intake, exhaust, 5 speed..... onto this motor and be back on the road? If I can then I'll cam it and add a header..
Are there any better drop in solutions? This vehicle is primarily used as a ranch/hunting vehicle.

Thanks
Bob

Same block so that part would work. Not to sure on the head. Also you will have to swap the computer if you want to go to EFI.

I will stick with carbed. That was the big question about the block.
