Engine stalling Problem
I’ve been battling this problem where my engine would stall WHILE DRIVING. It stalled once going slow as I was ab to pull in my driveway, another time going roughly 50 and then another time down shifting to 2nd in a turning lane to merge into traffic. The stall just happens instantly as if I just turned the key off. The first two times, I was able to restart it but the starter was noticeably weaker but did get the rig started back up. However, the third time it stalled, the starter struggled to turn which eventually gave out (single click on the turn of the key). I let it sit and jumped the battery and the starter was able to crank over again and was able to get the rnr back into my garage. Now it stalls the same way (instant dying) but in idle because I don’t want to risk getting stranded AGAIN. Would anyone know what’s going on or which direction I should go? My efi fuse and efi relay seemed good however, it was pretty warm when I went to check this leading me to think it was a wiring issue. Though my grounds seem solid and I wouldn’t suspect shorted wiring as my truck is able to run for some time before stalling as well as start up when the engine is cold.
So I’m wondering if it’s a ignition problem which isn’t too convincing atm cuz my car can start up when it’s cold(I could be unaware of heat-soaking problems as the engine runs for a bit). Or I’m thinking it’s fuel related. I want to test the relays and afm to see if there is any faulty electrical problems as to why my efi is getting very warm. Any ideas ?
