Door panels and clips
My passenger door panel is ruined around where the plastic clips attach to the cardboard stuff and they won't stay on anymore, has anybody found a way to remedy this?

head over to home depot and check out the selection of clips. lowe's has 'em too. they won't be a perfect match, but they aren't horrible. if the holes in the cardboard back are the cause of the problem, you might consider doing something to shore up the holes, like gluing washers on the inside, then reassembling the door and clipping it on with the new clips. with the stock ones in my '95 pu, there's two parts: the pin and the socket. if the socket is cracked, then the pin doesn't push anything apart; if the pin is broken but the socket is sound, then just buy new pins and you're ok. the washer suggestion would be an approach if the sockets are blown out.

If you are saying the card board backing on the door panel is torn where the clips go in, you might try using some bondo or fiberglass filler. Put the clips in then fill around, let it harden, then put the panels back on your doors.

You can repair torn holes to some extent with super glue or similar. Even a little fiberglass resin. Replacement clips can be bought if they are worn where they go together.
