I am starting a project to make a custom storage/sub-woofer cabinet. I just have a quick question on what the exact color of the vinyl used in the interior of a greyish '91 standard cab, or if I would just have to match it as close as possible by eye.

 

I'm pretty sure you'd have to take samples of the vinyl you'd be buying to your truck, or even pull off a gray part and bring it to the shop. I think removing one of the 'oh $#@%!' handles should be real easy. No matter what, the code matching fabric could not match what your interior looks like now a decade or two after it was manufactured, so your best tool would be your own eyes and some good light.

 

That's what I figured, but is there a color code anyway. I'm kinda OCD like that.
