A/C expansion valve

Ok, I am bringing the "cool" to my truck and cannot find were to put the expansion valve. 1986 pickup, 4x4, extra cab, 22re fuel injected. I changed the compressor, drier and added new oil but the expansion valve they gave me, well, I can't find anything on the truck like it. Somebody tell me what I am missing.

Was wondering if the valve I got is a new fix for these trucks. And yes I am going 134a.

it's going to be inside the evaporator box
pull the glovebox out, disconnect the evaporator lines, then unbolt the evaporator box and pull it out... disassemble the evaporator box to change the expansion valve

make sure that oil you used is PAG or ester oil
