Ok Guys, I have a '91 extended cab yota pick up. 3.0, w/an auto tranny. Here recently during acceleration it began to act as if it was gasping for fuel, and at times it would cut out, and when I lifted off the gas pedal it would come back to life. So I changed the fuel filter(yesterday). I drove it 51 miles and it done fine. Today however, It began doing this again. Also, if I hammered down on it, it would die out, once I lifted off the pedal it picked up and ran fine unless I pressed the gas pedal downward lets say to make the truck gain speed past 50 iles and hour. Any ideas ?
