94 22re No power/hesitation

I have a 94 yota pickup with 22re, 5 speed, over 300k miles, 31x10.50, truck has been running great, couldn't ask for a more dependable vehicle till now, when going up a slight incline it seems to hesitate then out of no where it will throw you back in the seat and take off, have tried all the basics such as plugs, wires, oil change and oil filter, distributer cap and button, uses about a quart of oil every 750-1k miles but keep it checked, throws no codes on a scanner, wondering if anyone could help diagnose the problem, open to all suggestions and thanks in advance!

This is a common issue, with no simple answer because there are usually lots of little things found during diagnosis that each make small improvements.

One of the biggest improvements is going to be a new timing chain and tensioner, no simple fix for lots of people, to put the valve/cam timing back to spec.

The simple things are cleaning sensors(engine coolant temperature sensor) and cleaning or replacing flters(air, and fuel filter), and TPS adjustment or replacement.
