93 4Runner back window problems

Hello, I have a 1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 5-speed manual 4WD V6 and im having issues with the back window. My back window ONLY works with the key. I can roll the back window down and up with the key switch on the back of the tailgate. The switch in the front doesn’t work at all. Is there a common issue with the back window on these 2nd gen’s for the back window to only with the key and not the switch inside the cab? Where should I start my diagnostics?

Start by cleaning the console switch.
A couple dousings with coffee and soda and they don't work so well.
A soaking in warm water, then drying with compressed air, and finally, a good spray with electrical contact cleaner will often return the switch to service.
You can use a VOM to test the switch. As I recall, it has a common pole to permanent ground and a selective pole to each position
Work the switch back and forth vigorously to get the contacts to wipe each other.
Perhaps there is also a switched hot wire that goes to the tiny illumination bulb.
The switches for these rear windows do not actually supply voltage to the window motor.
They merely ground certain pins on the window relay that is located behind the left hand cargo area panel.
