'90 efi... Flooding out

just installed a reman. engine from OER.... ran great @ first, but then starting feeling like it was slipping when i would try and pass... i would be cruising around 60mph and when i punch it, it would just ref the rpm's... but when i slowly give it gas it would speed up normally... then the next morning it wouldn't crank @ all... it would want to start but would die out... when i got home later that evening i tried it again.. it cranked right up, idled fine.. so i decided to drive and see how she ran... drove about 1/2 mile and she died.... when i tried to crank her she wouldn't.... finally after a few tries she did but black smoke pouring out the pipe... as i would drive @ normal speed she ran good, but as soon as i slowed down or let off the gas she would try and die out again... as long as slowly gave the gas she would ease back into normal driving... anybody have this problem???? if so help would soooo be appreciated!!!!!! thanks

Sounds like it could be a coil issue to me. Try testing it or replacing it and see if it gets better. My honda was doing the same thing and it turned out to be the coil.

Also a full tuneup wouldnt hurt, to rule things out.

-Oil, filter
-Plugs, Wires
-Cap, rotor
-Air filter, and fuel filter if you are up to the challenge.
