90 4 cyl 5 speed bearing noises?
I have a 90 Toyota 4cyl 5speed 4x4. The trans makes a noise like marbles in a can and a growl when I start off from a stop in 1st and 2nd and a little in 3rd. When I just cruise in 2nd or 3rd rhere is no noise. I pulled the trans apart thinkng it was the bearings, but they look great. The noise is pretty loud so I thought it would be noticeable. Every thing looks fine. What might be the problem???

None of those. I changed the gears to 4.88 a couple months ago but the noise was there before I changed them. It is progressively geting louder. And the noise is comming from the trans area for sure. Thanks for the help.
