I have an 89 4x4 with a 3.0 V6 5 speed in it, and it is a daily driver, it has 196,000 miles on it, and still runs great, but with this many miles, I am starting to look to see my options down the road, My frame is excellent under it, and I love it, so another engine will be going in when this one goes, but everyone gets rid of the 3.0 vze, and opts for a 3.4, I think I am going to stick with the 3.0, it has plenty of power, runs great, and I have never had a minutes trouble with it, all I have done is to it is timing belts, and waterpump. Is there any other faithful 3.0 guys out there, or is everyone making the switch?? Thanks.

 

that motor is half dead. don't get ahead of yourself. if you change the oil and take care of her, she will take care of you.
