87 4runner trouble

hi im new to the toyota life and i have an 87 4runner 22re 5spd and i was wondering if the igniter could act different in humid or rainy weather it usually runs good until it rains then it might not run good for a week or so i was doing the tap on things test and i would lightly tap on the igniter and it would change the way it ran sometimes better sometimes not i checked all the ground wires and added a few so could the igniter be slowly dying ? the tps plugs wires cap rotor filters no cel im kindof out of ideas

Id check all the connections/plugs any for corrosion and good sealing ability. check the wiring around the ignitor and coil for any cracks in the insulation.
