Ok I hope this is the right place to put this I have never posted before but on my puckup it started out as an efi 22r with the 4 speed auto transmission and I just built and swapped a 22r hybrid motor with a weber carb set up and my issue is now the transmission shift all the way to 3rd gear by the time I reach 15 mph and with my kick down cable adjusted right it never shifts back to 1st until you come to a stop but if you manually shift it the truck does great. Any help would be awesome as I am out of things to try.

 

I want to say the kick down cable for that trans is just for the "firmness" of the shifts, it uses the TPS and speedometer for shifts. Since you no longer have the TPS that could be your issue. See if anyone else chimes in with more evidence
