I have a 86 SR5 with a 22REC and 5 speed manual with 130K miles. Body and suspension is pretty beat up. I also have a 94 DLX with a wiped out 3.0 5 speed. Body is decent. Should I swap the 22 and manual transmission into the 94. If so, what challenges are there?

 

I don't know much about it first hand, but I believe the engine mounts and brackets are different for the 22r/re and 3vze. So thats something you'd have to deal with, and if you're not a welder or don't know one it could prove challenging.

I say go for it though!
