4runner tailgate

I searched and could not find any info on how to disable the switch so I can roll out the window in my tail gate right now theres some nails and screws in it and I want to get them out.
but for the life of me cant get it to open I have stuck a screw driver in the drivers side latch to get that switch but still no movement of the window.

can some one enlighten me on what I need to press in or disconnect to get the window out.
if someone has a link bookmarked for this please post it up

thanks in advance

The drivers side latch has a sensor in it. If you want to bypass this sensor, just loop the two wires leading to that sensor together. Esentially the system thinks the latch is always closed, no matter if the gate is open or shut.

The downside to this, is if you do not get the gate closed all the way, you can damage the system by rolling up the window.

btw, you can also do it temp with the screwdriver acting as the striker bolt, but it has to click TWICE!
