Hi,
I am parting out a 91 4runner and have the transmission and transfer case for sale. I was told by the wrecking yard that the auto trans will only fit a 91, because of some sensor issues.
Is it possible to put the tranny in other years (up to 95)with some slight modification? Is it possible?

Likely the only problems would be mechanical vs. electrical speedometer but I say "only" since ECU and electronics and wiring are different depending on that. However, that may make the trans appealing to earlier years.

And for future reference, it's common courtesy to wait at least 24 hours before bumping a post, otherwise it's considered rather rude, and can cause people who would otherwise be interested to ignore it.
