1988 pickup 22re camshaft

i have a 1988 pickup 4x4 22 re a question about the head the one that came with truck has overized camshaft journals the reason i discovered this i ordered a camshaft from engine builders .com and after running it sevral monthshad a knock only during coasting never while acceleration so i pulled that cam and put back in old stock cam but had a spare head and that crawler cam fits it perfect so is there a diffrence in heads for the cam journals and where can i get a oversized cam to fit the journals of this head any info is greatley appreciated

As far as I know ask the cam journals are i identical throughout the 22r/re series heads. I MAYBE WRONG but I'm pretty positive on this one. Sounds like the journals got boogered up and had to be line bored. I think someone makes a bearing set to put them back in spec but don't quote me.
To prevent this ALWAYS plastigauge!!!

Can't be because I have two heads and two cams one with larger journals and I have a cam that fits both perfectly I'm just trying to find out if its a Rv head heard they where tougher heads or if anyone else has ran across this
