1986 pickup 2wd tank capacity
Hi
i know, its a stupid question. But i cannot find the answer, even with the vin search. its 86 pickup 2wd nothing fancy. ive only had it for a few weeks and the gas gage is broken and I dont know what my tank size is...just curious I guess? I keep seeing either 19 gal or 13..anyone have any idea?
Im a newb. just had a 99 rav4 for all my life so not knowing anything about my car is new to me.
thanks!

Is your 2WD truck a regular cab, short bed?
If so the fuel tank capacity is 13.7 gallons (or 52 liters).
If your 2WD truck is NOT a regular cab, short bed the fuel tank capacity is 17.2 gallons (or 65 liters).
These numbers are from my 1987 Toyota Truck Owners manual, but the 1986 should be the same.

Then since you just bought this truck You have no way of knowing if it is the original tank.
Since only one of my fuel gauges work out of 4 vehicles I just fill up every 100 miles or so.
It works for me
Even with a new fuel gauge and sending unit on the shelf for quite a few years .
