ok i have a problem but im not excactly sure what it is....i have power in first and second and when i hit third it makes a pop sound and then bogs and its hard to get up to speed... when i hit third my check engine light comes on... its and automatic 85 toyota 4runner solid axle....is it timing?

 

if the light is coming on then what is the code????

 

well i took it to autozone but they said they didnt have the tool because they had to do it manually
