Hey guys! Long time Tacoma owner, new 85' Pickup owner! I wanted to convert the truck to Power Steering but then noticed it already has some power steering components and confused if prior owner removed it?! It has the cooler in front of the radiator and the power steering reservoir (I think). Theres also a spare bracket by the pump, not sure what its for. Can anyone tell me if i'm correct that this was a power steering truck converted to non power steering? Thanks!
Non power truck. Bracket is for the axle torque arm. Power steering pump sits above the alternator. You will need pump, pulley (water pump) brackets, box, reservoir, hoses...etc. Find a donor truck at the wrecking yard and get everything at once. If the truck is lifted, you can convert over to a cross over set-up and get a later PS box off an IFS truck and then get an adapter plate from Trail-Gear and weld that on.
