Picked up this 1985 pickup not too long ago, has 160k on it. Truck drives really nice, good power throughout the whole band up to 4k rpm haven't taken it higher, and oil's clean. But I noticed it's got a weird noise to it maybe knocking, doesn't sound like valves, valves are noisy but that seems to be normal for these toyotas. I keep going back and forth on it whether I hear a knock or not, either way I got a video posted check it out tell me what you think, I really think I hear it around the 15 second mark and after 30 seconds.

 

nobody? somebody has to have a better ear than me. If a longer video or something would help let me know, i have a lunch break in a couple of hours

 

maybe try and put it in the 1986 thru 1995 IFS forum , not as many of us solid axle guys and gals , I cant hear anything knocking , but my speakers aren't the best either , good luck I hope you find out whats wrong
