getting hard to shift

on my 84 toyta 22r 5 speed its seems like 1,2,3 gear are hard to shift into. simetimes it like wont go into 2nd. im thinking the syncros in the tranny are starting to give out... how much do shops charge to replace em usually? o yea the clutch is pretty new too.

first check to see if it's not the shifter bushing, that's an easy and cheap fix:

cheap solution #2: learn to double clutch. my syncros are starting to wear on my 5 speed. it has 250,000 miles on it and it's never been rebuilt or anything, so i can believe that the syncros are going bad. i'm cheap, so when it gets hard to put it in gear i just double clutch an all works well.

change the fluid out and replace with Redline MTL. This will at the very least help, and may actually "fix" your issues.
