remember, you can adjust the door on the hinge, and the hinge on the pillar as well. If it fit when you took it off, it will eventually fit again. Is there a dirt mark on the door from where you took them off?

i just checked my stash of 1st Gen Door hinges (79-83) and on the back they all have an "L" and "R" on the back. might take some light sand paper to the backside and see if they show up, i know the back gets grungy with age.
the hinges will look similar however the upper hinges will have the upper hole slightly canted back further than the lower hole.
