Hey guys new to the forum here. I'll start off as I'm 19 and have had 1 vehicle that being an 04 jeep tj. So I have no clue about Toyota trucks. However, I've been looking for a small-sized pickup for a while now and found what seems to be a mint 1985 sr5. I was wondering about common issues on this particular truck and what questions to ask. I am doing as much research as possible as this truck is located in the states and my self in Canada. Want to make sure its a good truck, worth paying the shipping and duty on. Here's a pic and the description:

Thanks for any and all help and info!
The real killer for Toyota trucks is rust. everything else can be fixed, but rust takes a whole lot more time, money and dedication.
I always look at the frame for rust when looking these over, ever since I saw one fold in half when it was put on a lift.
the most common spot for rust always seems to be right where the rear leaf springs mount to the frame.
Have you spoken with the seller or verified the legitimacy of the sale? I swear I've seen that truck before - on auction sites. It could be (probably is) legit.. but that description did remind me of those scam sales, i.e. "I've been deployed and have to sell my ____ " Alway in amazing condition. Always for 1/3 of the value.
As fas as issues - yeah, what SomedayJ said. Low-mile, rust free = SPENDY!
