Post 85 Toyota - Want to add a seat to the extended cab

I've been thinking about a way to add a small rear ex-cab bench seat, and I use the term -seat- loosely, to my 85 extended cab truck. Has anybody done this that has some recommendations? They never produced a stock back seat for the 85 did they? I am contemplating just building a plywood/mdf box of sorts (good for storage anyway) and bolting belts down through it. The purpose of the seat is to accommodate my 8 year old daughter so we're not talking about a full sized adult or anything here size-wise, but I want it to be safe. Would appreciate any ideas, experiences, pictures or links! Thanks!

I don't have any pictures but I used to have a 1980 Datsun (!) junkyard runner King Cab. It had really nice jump seats. They folded down if I needed the space. I guess they were an option because my second 1980 Datsun King Cab did not have them. I did carry my neice and nephew a few times and they loved the truck. Measure your space and do a check of pick and pulls. I still see a lot of the Nissan King Cabs around.

I tried this on my '84 ex cab. It is not practical, you have to slide the passenger seat almost all the way forward. You need a bigger truck.

ford rangers from the mid 90's to mid 2k's have a very narrow side mounted fold down rear seat.
maybe 18 inches wide x 20 inches tall.

There's a reason Toyota didn't put seats back there...not enough room.

Thanks for the replies guys! I will definitely be looking into the jump seats from the datsun and the ranger to see if there is any chance of a fit there. I realize this isn't really a practical thing, but as I said its just for the little one. I think my current plan is to remove the center console and put the seatbelt in the middle of my rear bench box which will allow her legs to have a little extra space between the bucket seats. It should work for a year or two while she's still a little shorty.
