The '85 4x4 5-speed I recently bought has an issue w/ the trans. It occaisionally slides out of 1st & 3rd gears while driving. It doesn't "pop" out forcefully & there's no whining/howling/vibrations in ANY of the gears. I haven't driven it much, but the clutch/flywheel feels fine to me. The shifter has "some" slop, but not the worst I've ever felt! Could this be a worn bushing(or two),a bent shift fork, a later model trans. that is contacting the front. of the trans. tunnel(looks close to me). Again, I haven't had much time to play with it..just looking for others ideas/experiences. Thanks,Sleepr71.

Yep and i suggest getting it from marlincrawler.com because its heavy duty . It worked wonders for my shifting =)

Your local Toyota dealer will have both in stock I imagine. Mine does.
