22re issues?

Long story short got a 4 runner that sat, ran fine for months till i blew the motor.

Rebuilt the motor, deleted EGR and added a LCE efi pro camshaft http://www.lceperformance.com/EFI-Pr...-p/1022021.htm

Idled rough after that. Ran fine off idle. Adveraged about 14-15 mpg on a 2,000 mile trip with a 16mpg best. Which i think is good for 33s auto and 4.10 gears. I also need to hold the gas pedal down to get it started. I don't think i had to do that prior.

Tried a new o2 sensor a while back with no changes.

I recently put a new tps on the truck. The idle did not get better or worse. I do get a surging occasionally at very low throttle input. I have on 1-2 occasions also experienced an instance where the engine felt like it had maybe 1/2 power then after a second it went back to full power. I spent a while adjusting the tps making sure it was all within specs double a triple checking. I guess ill have to go back and re check it since it didn't surge with the old tps.

But where do i go with the idle issue? There is a good stink at idle like gas but its not to the point where your eyes hurt/tear from the fumes.

How long did it sit before you swapped motors? If it sat for a long time, the gas can go bad and clog up a few things. As far as idle issue, I would burp the cooling system.
