1985 Toy w/o Power Steering

Search for hi-steer. It's not that hard, it can be done in a weekend if you gather all the parts and plan it out. Click my build thread and you can see the basic idea of what you need to do. I just did it a few weekends ago on my 81.

Histeer is DEFINITELY the way to go. Would probably consume a full weekend and cost you roughly $400
If you dont want to drop that much, the power steering (ps) conversion is pretty simple. You will need to find a parts truck on craigslist or a junkyard.
You will need the following:
-3rd row crank pulley for the ps belt
-ps pump and mounting brackets
-ps hoses (high pressure from the pump to the box, return from the box to the res and supply from the res to the pump)
-ps box from any straight axle rig
Everything will bolt right on and you will be rollin in no time. I think it took me about 2 or 3 hours to do this conversion on my 84.
When i eventually went to histeer it took about 6 hours but would take you longer since i already had the under-hood components installed.

easy to do .should take about an hour to replace the box and add the pulleys and pump.
