tire date codes

I just bought some new les Swab, AT toyos, I got home then checked the date codes they were made in 03. and 04, called them up they will be getting me some newer tires.

You're one of the few intelligent people who check that type of stuff. Good eye =) Les Schwab is great for their customers, but a terrible employer. To bad to. ... which is why I won't ever do business with them, other then their chains cuz you can exchange those for bigger sets, even used. =)

Good, you must have seen that thread floating around on the forum on how to check the dates?

It is amazing how some places have tires that old in stock, and do not tell anyone.

Tell me about it. I bought a set of tires from Schwab 4 years ago for my old Suzuki Swift, sold it and was going to get the tires mounted for my Tercel. The schwab guy tells me the tires are from '95 and they won't do it. I hope I can find the receipt...Schwab seems to have gone down hill since old Les went to the tire shop in the sky...

yeah thanks, I had just edited my post after watching the video....I never gave much thought to the age of the tires when buying them new ....obviously that has changed now...Thanks for bringing up the info
