Suggestions needed...

I need a little help on the wheel wells. A previous owner cut out the inside of the wheel wells in the front, probably to accommodate big tires on the trail. I am making this 1982 truck my daily driver and this will be a big issue for me where I live. All the road salt salt in the Chicago winters will get all over the motor and firewall and eventually destroy everything in there. Has anyone had a similar experience and corrected it? I was considering bending some sheet metal and riveting on but I see a future rust problem doing that. any ideas out there? Thanks

Plastic... Maybe try forming some plastic. You can then silicone the seams just like factory.

Hey thanks, I have been to your website. Pretty cool stuff. Do you sell just the aprons? If so, how do they attach?

yes we do ...

attaching them is the easy part , we recommend 3m panel bonder #08115 (3M guarentees the bond for life , BETTER then a weld)

the hard part is removing everything and cleaning up to install

If you don't mind going a little bit hillbilly with it, I've used trashcans that I cut up with a razorblade.

The higher dollar ones are made of a more rubberized plastic that bends without any cracking.

Then I bought some rtv, and riveted the pieces in place.

Has worked on my buddy's K-5 for 3 years strong now.
